Another National Trust property for you all to enjoy. This time is it Greenway and the home of Agatha Christie. To mix things up we took the railway from Kingswear to Greenway where it is then a short walk to the entrance. It is not your usual railway in fact it is a glorious steam engine, caught from a rather cute station, it kinda takes you back in time so well worth it rather than getting the boat.

Once in Greenway, as before if you are a National trust member its free admission, if not you are looking at a tenner for an adult, this includes the house and gardens. We were lucky and had a beautiful sunny day, so we took a picnic and enjoyed it in the gardens (not as impressive as Coleton Fishacre but still nice to wander around). After lunch we took a tour of the house which again has been kept in such wonderful condition.

After you have wandered the house be sure to head to the boat house for cracking views of the River Dart. You can happily spend a good few hours here, as we did. There were garden tours too and a cafe so lots of extra things to while away the time. We caught the boat back to Dartmouth, windswept would be an understatement so be sure to bring layers (it was pretty chilly).
